What We Do
The B.H. Rowland Foundation provides a much-needed state-wide structure for recognizing and rewarding early childhood educators for high-quality services to young children, from birth through kindergarten, and their families, innovation in the field, and noteworthy support to children with special needs.
The foundation will privately raise funds to support the instructional, environmental, and professional development and growth needs of the educators we serve through a variety of grants, awards, and scholarships.
The funds raised will be used to supplement state dollars that are allocated for direct support
services only, including small grants to teachers for needed materials and supplies, and for opportunities to continue their own professional growth and development (e.g. conference attendance, access to leadership and advocacy opportunities, as well as collaborations with other professionals). Most importantly, the foundation will create innovative ways to recognize and reward them for the amazing and impactful work they do and for persisting along their journey.
