Waynett Taylor
Waynett has dedicated over 25 years of her time to the early childhood profession. She has worked in education in a variety of areas including teaching young children (birth-third grade), adult educator, director, teacher leader, professional development trainer, consultant, and program chair. Waynett is a life-long learner and has earned two master’s degrees in education (Birth through third grade) and Special Education (Prek-12th Grade). She possesses an acute knowledge of child development, family services, community outreach, and pedagogy that has developed through education and experience. The field of education and administration is truly her passion, and she enjoys teaching, working with the public, advocating for early childhood education, as well as collaborating with community stakeholders.
Waynett also values quality time with her husband, Leroy Taylor, five children, fourteen grandchildren, as well as other family members and friends. She loves to host gatherings that bring fun and laughter to people near and far. She is currently the owner and executive director of P.U.R.E. Excellence, a nonprofit organization that provides unique services such as educating, training, modeling, and coaching other educators to reach their full potential.
