Linda McConnell

Linda McConnell is Bobbie’s oldest daughter.  She is currently the Executive Director of Gaston Literacy Council, Inc.  after completing her career with Gaston County Schools as Director of  Pre-K Services.  Linda is a graduate of NC State and completed a graduate degree at Univ. of Tennessee – Knoxville.

Linda has spent much of her life trying to keep up with Bobbie and her adventures! There has never been a dull moment!!   

In her “spare time,” Linda keeps busy running and walking, hiking, kayaking,   reading, baking (and eating!), NFL football, and enjoys traveling anywhere, especially the NC mountains! One of her proudest moments is completion of a full marathon in 2014!  She is “Mom” to Mollie and Patrick, and grandmother to Lucas, Liam, Maggie, and Rowland. Linda attends First United Methodist Church, volunteers in the Emergency Department at CaroMont Regional Medical Center and is a member of the Rotary Club of Gastonia.
