I am honored to serve on the Board of the B. H. Rowland Foundation!
I have had the privilege of learning from and working with Dr. Bobbie Rowland as a colleague and friend since 1999. My professional experiences include working with infants, toddlers, and preschool children with and without disabilities (or risks of developmental delays) and their families in a variety of settings (e.g., inclusive preschool classrooms, home, and hospitals). I received my doctorate from Vanderbilt University (Special Education: EI/ECSE), master’s degree from the University of Pittsburgh (Special Education), and undergraduate degree from the Pennsylvania State University (Individual & Family Studies: Infant & Early Childhood Development). In 2000, Bobbie introduced me to T. Berry Brazelton! Working with Bobbie, Dr. Brazelton and the Touchpoints faculty is a treasured highlight of my career. I am an Associate Professor at UNC Charlotte with current responsibilities as the Program Director for the M.Ed. in Special Education and Child Development: Child & Family Studies Concentration and the M.A.T. program in Early Childhood Education. Additionally, I serve as the Concentration Coordinator for the Interdisciplinary Graduate Certificate program in Early Childhood Mental Health.
I love to spend time with my family and friends as well as travel!
