Anne-Marie de Kort-Young
As an Advocate for young children and their families, I am honored to serve on the Board of the B.H. Rowland Foundation! My journey started in The Netherlands where I received my initial degree in Early Childhood and Special Education. I worked as a Teacher and Trainer for over 10 years before I moved to Spain and later to the U.S.
Since 1986 I have worked in Charlotte as a Teacher in a Developmental Day Program, as a Service Coordinator in Early Intervention, and later as a Regional Consultant for the NC Infant-Toddler Program and the NC Department of Public Instruction's More at Four Program. After More at Four became the NC Pre-K Program and moved to DCDEE, I continued my work with EC Professionals in non-public programs: teaching courses in the B-K Program at UNC-Charlotte, starting and managing the EESLPD Office at UNC-Charlotte, and consulting with regional Smart Start Programs and the MECK Pre-K Program.
During my free time I like to travel and spend time with family and friends.
